A simple format you may wish to follow in your daily prayer time uses the acronym A-C-T-S. It gives your mind a way to stay on track, if you please.

A = Adoration – praising the Creator God for His goodness – thanking Him for His care and love.

C = Confession – agreeing with God that you are a sinner which needs complete cleansing.

T = Thankfulness – that you have been cleansed through the blood of Jesus claiming 1 John 1:9.

S = Supplication should include asking:

    1. the Lord to take back any ground given to the enemy – knowingly or unknowingly.
    2. for God’s grace which is the desire and power to do His will.
    3. For the ability to yield to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and resist the devil.
    4. For the ability to commit faithfully to a specific time each day to get to know Jesus through prayer and the study of His Word with regard to your challenges and victories.

Pray aloud

Heavenly Father,
I bow in worship and praise before You. I claim the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as my protection during this time of prayer. I surrender myself completely in every area of my life to You. I do take a stand against all the workings of Satan that would hinder me in this time of prayer, and I address myself only to the true and living God.
Heavenly Father, come and open my eyes that I might see how great You are and how complete Your provision is for this new day. I am thankful for the expression of Your will for my daily life as You have shown me in Your Word. I therefore claim all the will of God for me today. I am thankful that you have made provision so that today I can live filled with the spirit of God with love and joy and self-control in my life. I refuse, in this day, to believe my feelings in the areas of ___________________ (ex: self-pity, resentment, pride, anger, etc.), and I hold up the shield of faith against all the accusations and against all the insinuations that Satan would put in my mind.
Heavenly Father, I pray that now through this day You would quicken me; show me the way that Satan is hindering and tempting and lying and counterfeiting and distorting the truth in my life. Enable me to be aggressive in prayer. Enable me to be aggressive mentally and to think your thoughts after You, and to give You Your rightful place in my life.
I choose not to be discouraged. You are the God of all hope and I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. Amen."

Read aloud:

Psalm 5:3: 100; Romans 5:1-5, 8; Philippians 4:4, 6-8; Isaiah 26:3 (Memorize your choice)

Pray aloud

Thank You, Lord, that You have brought me into Your family and have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Thank You for providing this time of renewal through sleep. I accept it as part of Your perfect plan for Your children, and I trust You to guard my mind and my body during my sleep. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I submit my mind and my dream activities only to the work of the Holy Spirit. I commit myself to You for Your protection from every attempt of Satan or his emissaries to attack me during sleep. According to Matthew 16:19, in Jesus’ name I bind up the power of darkness and forbid them to work in my dream activities, or in any part of my subconscious while I sleep. As I have meditated on You and Your truth during this day, I choose to let these thoughts continue in my mind while I am asleep. I commit myself to You as my rock, my fortress, and my resting place. I pray in the strong name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Read aloud:

Psalms 4:3-5, 8; 16:7-8; 23; 127:2

Pray aloud

Lord, I thank You that You have promised in Isaiah 59:19 that when the enemy comes in like a flood, Your Spirit will lift up a standard against him. Please lift up Your standard and loose me from thoughts of _________________(discouragement, anger, depression, bitterness, etc.) I have given that to Jesus and according to Romans 6:12-14, He has promised that sin shall not have dominion over me. I choose to have my mind bound to _____________________ (encouragement, peace, joy, goodwill, etc.) in Jesus. Thank You, Jesus, for filling my mind with Your joy and love as You’ve promised in John 15:10-11. I choose to let my mind dwell in You and Your love for me as You enable me to obey Your commands.

Continue to read or speak aloud any Scripture you have been memorizing that day. Do not listen to your feelings. Be thankful and rejoice always! (See John 15; Philippians 4:4-8;

1 Thessalonians 5;18)

To be used when experiencing doubt, fear, anger, etc.

I reject this thought of ________________ (doubt, fear, anger, etc.) in the name and blood of Jesus Christ. I ask for holy angels to bind and remove any of Satan’s forces that are pressing against me. According to the promise of Matthew 16:19, I ask to be loosed from that bondage. I choose to be bound to the thoughts of ________ (faith, courage, peace, etc.) according to the will of God.

Dear heavenly Father,

I willingly acknowledge that I have allowed Satan and his assigned demons a legal foothold in my life in the area of __________________ (fill in specific sin). I realize that I have given them ground, but I choose to place this decision making area firmly back under the control and protection of Your Holy Spirit. I present to You the provision You have given me in Your word according to the promise found in Isaiah 61:1 that You came to proclaim freedom to the captives and release for the prisoners. Loose my mind and will from deception and bind my mind and will to Your truth. Please give me the power to resist any attempts of Satan through another one of his assigned angels to bring me back to a point where I again would allow them control. Help me each day to willingly allow You, through right choices, to block the deeply embedded pathways of sin that Satan has so successfully placed within my mind. Empower me with Your grace to build new pathways that will establish even stronger habit patterns of right doing to Your Name’s honor and glory. In Jesus’ name I ask, Amen.
