As God knows the answers to every life challenge and wishes to bring us
into harmony with His perfect plan for our lives, we know He will go to
the root of our challenges to heal us.
The secret is to make biblical changes in our life so that we learn to
live Gods way in the midst of physical need and medical treatment.
Notice what He says in the rest of 1 Corinthians 10:13:
"
and God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted (or
tried) beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you
can stand up under it."
Remember, God is sovereign and will never allow a physical, emotional
or spiritual problem to come into your life that would make it impossible
for you to be obedient to His Word. A modern example of this type of
obedience is the story of Joni Erickson Tada. As a teen-ager, Joni became
a paraplegic due to a diving accident. She is confined to a wheelchair and
has no feeling from her neck down. Yet she sees her circumstances as one
of the ways God has shown His sufficiency in her life. You can see that by
the smile on her face. If you havent done so, I
would suggest you read the book or watch the video. You can get it at your
local Bible bookstore.
If we believe that God is God and in control of the universe and the
nations in addition to caring about every sparrow that falls and knowing every hair
on our head, we have to believe that everything that happens and has
happened to us was and is FOR good. The Bible says:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For
those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness
of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers." Romans
8:28-29
If I remember that God's purposes for me are good, I
can trust Him to give me 'hope' in the midst of my darkness. To get some
ideas as to where to find that 'hope', let's click on to the next link.
