But how can you be sure that what the Bible says is true?
It begins with faith
Faith to believe that there is a God who created you.
Faith to believe that the God who created you,
cared
enough to leave
instructions for your life.
Faith to believe the instructions and apply them.
Before you begin this lesson, PRAY to God, your Creator, for faith and
understanding:
"Dear
Heavenly Father, I need Your Holy Spirit to help me believe and teach me Your truth. Bind up all the attempts of Satan to confuse
my mind. I choose to believe that you have heard and are answering my
prayer in Jesus name. Amen."
God's Word includes the entire Bible...both Old and New Testaments.
As we search for the "Hope" it offers, we will not be
disappointed because the Bible says:
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that
the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good
work."
(2
Timothy 3:16-17, NIV)
This lesson will be
divided into four sections that cover the four uses of God's Word as
stated in the above text:
- "How Does God View
My Challenge?" is the teaching.
- "Where Is The Hope?"
will offer the rebuke with hope because when God rebukes He
always offers hope. He never leaves us hopeless.
- "Does God Have A
Plan For Me?" is the structure for correcting your challenge.
- "How Do I Implement
His Plan?" will be the training in righteousness which
means being trained in right living according to God's instructions.
Suggestions will be made for actively applying what you've learned.
So let's take a look
at how God views your present challenge.
